The Solstice,🌞 Illuminating The Way Back Into Our Hearts,💛 & What Is Asking for Our Attention✨

Hello beautiful Sparkle of Source!

The Summer Solstice has just arrived today, bringing us to one of the most powerful turning points of the year.

The Summer Solstice, occurring around June 20th or June 21st in the Northern Hemisphere, marks the longest day of the year and the moment when the Sun reaches its highest point in the sky. For thousands of years, this sacred turning point has been honored by cultures around the world as a time of abundance, growth, gratitude, and the life-giving power of the Sun.

The word solstice comes from the Latin words sol, meaning “sun,” and sistere, meaning “to stand still.” Together, these words describe the beautiful phenomenon that occurs during this time of year when the Sun appears to pause in the sky before beginning its gradual journey back toward shorter days. For several days surrounding the solstice, the Sun seems to hold its position, offering a powerful reminder to pause, reflect, and appreciate the fullness of life.

Ancient civilizations closely observed the movements of the Sun and understood the importance of this seasonal transition.

The Egyptians aligned sacred structures with the Sun’s movements, while the builders of Stonehenge created a monument that perfectly captures the solstice sunrise. These alignments reveal how deeply connected our ancestors were to the rhythms of nature and the cycles of light and darkness.

Among the Celtic peoples, the Summer Solstice, often known as Midsummer, was celebrated with bonfires, feasts, and gatherings that honored the Sun’s strength and the abundance of the Earth. Fires were lit on hilltops to symbolize the power of the light and to bless the coming harvest season. Communities gathered to celebrate life, fertility, and the gifts of nature.

In Scandinavian countries, Midsummer remains one of the most beloved celebrations of the year. Families and communities gather outdoors, dance around maypoles, wear flower crowns, share meals, and celebrate the long hours of daylight. Bonfires and festivities continue traditions that have been passed down through generations.

Many Native American tribes also hold ceremonies during this time to honor the Sun and the cycles of life. Among the Sioux, the Sun Dance is a sacred gathering involving prayer, song, and ceremony that seeks spiritual renewal, healing, and connection with the Great Spirit.

Our ancestors honored these sacred moments because they understood that when the Earth shifts, we shift too. There is something very beautiful about this moment because it reminds us that life moves in cycles. There are seasons of growth, seasons of rest, seasons of healing, and seasons where we are asked to begin again.

This year's Solstice feels especially significant because so many of us have been moving through tremendous and tumultuous change. The past several weeks have brought old emotions to the surface, relationship challenges, family dynamics, questions about purpose, health, work, and what truly matters. Many of us have felt that sudden stop us in our tracks like I did a few weeks ago through my injuries not because something is wrong or life was trying to beat me up although it kinda felt like it lol but because life, our higher self & team is asking us to pay attention. Sometimes we move so quickly through our days that we forget to check in with ourselves. We stay busy, we keep going, and we continue carrying old stories simply because they have become familiar.

The Solstice light is helping to illuminate what has been hidden, looping or on autopilot. It helps us see how we have grown, what is thriving, and what may no longer belong in our lives. We  are recognizing old patterns, old beliefs, or emotional wounds that have been operating under the radar for years. Time to celebrate this illumination!

There is a strong need for emotional safety this week. We might feel called to spend more time at home, in nature, with trusted friends, or simply alone with ourselves. I know this is true for me. The nervous system feels more sensitive, and we might have less tolerance for things that feel forced, draining, or out of alignment. You may find yourself asking what truly supports you, what feels genuine, and what feels like home within your own heart. These are important questions right now.

The mind has been very active over the past several weeks. There have been many ideas, decisions, plans, and questions. But this week the heart wants equal attention. So, it is nudging us to balance what we think with what we feel. Sometimes the mind has one plan while the soul has another. Instead of trying to force answers, this energy asks us to slow down long enough to listen. Clarity may arrive through a conversation, a dream, time in nature, or simply a quiet moment with ourselves.

We may also notice healing themes around self-worth, safety, finances, and trust. Old survival patterns may become more visible. You may recognize where fear has been making decisions, where scarcity has been speaking louder than faith, or where you have been carrying responsibilities that no longer belong to you. The deeper question this week is not how to fix everything, but rather what would change if you truly believed you were supported?

Relationships continue to act as mirrors. Family members, partners, and close relationships may still bring certain emotions to the surface, but there is an opportunity now to see these experiences differently.  Instead of immediately reacting, we can ask ourselves what the situation is showing us. Often the people closest to us reveal places within ourselves that are asking for healing, stronger boundaries, more self-love, or a greater knowing of ourselves.

There is also a beautiful creative energy moving underneath everything right now.  We may feel inspired to writing, teaching, gardening, creating, making art, working with herbs, or finally giving attention to ideas that have been waiting patiently in the background.  Creativity feels like medicine this week.  It reconnects us to joy, to purpose, and to the parts of ourselves that sometimes get forgotten while we are busy taking care of everyone else and living in our routine everyday life.

As we move toward the end of the month, there is also a feeling of reflection and review.  Old situations, emotions, or memories may return, not to keep us stuck, but to allow us to move ahead without carrying the weight of everything we have outgrown.

The Solstice reminds us that seasons change, and so do we. The version of you that existed six months ago is not the version walking forward now. You do not have to continue carrying old identities, old responsibilities, or old beliefs simply because they have become familiar. It’s time to change. You are being called out by your higher self and team (and boy oh boy it’s not all rainbows and unicorns lol) to heal and expand to the new upgraded version of you on your highest timeline of beauty, joy, peace, abundance, neutrality, happiness and love beyond what you can ever imagine.

Spend time outside this week. Put your feet on the Earth. Watch the sunrise or sunset. Sit beneath a tree. Work in your garden. Listen to the birds and breathe in all the beauty. Nature has a way of reminding us that growth happens in its own timing and that we do not need to force what is naturally unfolding.

We are growing, remembering our light & healing on so many levels. Trust what is being revealed. Trust what is falling away. Trust what is showing up to be seen and asking for your attention. The light of the Solstice is illuminating all the hard work we have been doing on ourselves and our hearts are asking us to be kind to ourselves and celebrate our accomplishments, be awinspired to be here on Mother Earth (literally the hardest place to incarnate) and feel how deeply you are honored and loved.

With love,

Jemaa🌺
