Breaking Ancestral Patterns & Staying in Your Center

Hello Sparkle of Source!

The energies I'm tuning in with this week are bringing a lot of awareness to ancestral and family patterns. The behaviors, reactions, beliefs, and emotional responses that have been passed down through our family lines. Some of these patterns have been playing out for generations, and sometimes we don’t even realize we’re participating in them until something happens that triggers that familiar response.

I actually experienced this with my mom recently. An old loop between us started to play out, the kind of pattern where you already know how the conversation usually goes and how each person is going to react. But this time, I could see it happening while it was happening. Instead of stepping into my usual role and reacting, I became the observer. I stayed neutral, didn’t feed the old energy, and something really interesting happened: my mom shifted in that moment too. Because I wasn’t participating in the old pattern in the same way, there was nothing for it to bounce back and forth against. The whole energy of the interaction changed. And I could feel the love we both have for each other on a deeper level.

That experience was such a beautiful reminder that we don’t have to wait for someone else to change before we change how we participate in a pattern.

This week, pay attention to what you’re noticing in yourself, especially around family, partners, and close relationships. These people can be some of our greatest mirrors. Are you reacting the same way you’ve always reacted? Are you falling into an old role you learned within your family? Are you trying to fix, control, defend yourself, shut down, people-please, or carry something that isn’t yours?

The important part is noticing it without immediately reacting to it and become the observer.

When something triggers you, give yourself a moment before responding. Step into that neutral zero point space where you’re not feeding the old story, judging yourself or the other person, or automatically repeating the same response. You can recognize a pattern without becoming the pattern.

This is where we have the opportunity to change it. Once we can see what we’re doing while we’re doing it, we have a choice. We can continue down that familiar road, or we can say, “Nope, I’m not doing this one anymore!”

Some of these patterns go way back through our family lineage. Fear, scarcity, anger, abandonment, people-pleasing, control, guilt, staying silent, over-giving, or feeling responsible for everyone else can become so familiar that we don’t even recognize them as patterns anymore. But just because something has been carried through our family doesn’t mean we have to continue carrying it. This is where we change the story.

When the old pattern shows up, we have to make a different choice. Instead of reacting from the old programming, come back into your center and ask yourself, “Is this how I really want to respond? Is this keeping me aligned with what is best for me and the reality/timeline I want to be living in?”

Staying in that neutral zero point space doesn’t mean suppressing our emotions or allowing obnoxious behavior. We can feel what we feel, set boundaries, speak our truth, and still choose not to get pulled back into the same old energetic loop.

Sometimes breaking an ancestral pattern happens in one conversation. It can be choosing not to argue, saying no without guilt, speaking up when you would normally stay silent, or refusing to take responsibility for someone else’s emotions. One person changing their response can change the entire dynamic, as I experienced with my mom.

So this week, be the observer not the reactor.  Notice what’s coming up, recognize the old loops when they appear, and remember that you have the power to choose something different.

This stops with me. I see the pattern. I understand it. I honor what my ancestors experienced, but I choose differently now.

We’ve spent enough lifetimes carrying old baggage for heaven's sake! Let’s release it. And stay aligned with the love, joy, freedom, harmony, and peace timeline.

Hugs & Love,

Jemaa🌺
